Girl, 12, missing from South Austin found safe

CHICAGO (WLS) -- A 12-year-old girl reported missing from Chicago's West Side has been found safe.

According to an alert from police, Claudia Jackson was last seen leaving her home in the 400-block of South Laramie Avenue in the city's South Austin neighborhood around 3:30 p.m. Wednesday. Police said she left the house after being reprimanded.

She was wearing a navy blue hooded sweatshirt with a beige monkey or bear on the chest, navy blue pants and white Air Jordans with purple, red, blue and orange on them.

Claudia has black hair, brown eyes, a medium complexion a cut next to her right eye. She is about 5 feet 2 inches tall and weighs around 130 pounds.
