Chicago is 2nd most expensive place to get married in US, survey finds

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Chicago weddings are nearly double the cost of the national average according to a new survey by the website The Knot.

Chicago is the second most costly place to get married, with an average price tag of $61,000. The national average sits at $32,000.

The only place more expensive to get married is Manhattan.

According to the survey, the bride's parents typically picked up the majority of the tab.
