CTA Yellow Line service resumes after fire near tracks

All service on the CTA Yellow Line has resumed following a fire near the tracks between Dempster-Skokie and Oakton-Skokie stations, CTA officials say.

The Skokie Fire Department said there was a small transformer fire on a pole in the 8400-block of Niles Center Road. There were no injuries.

The CTA put shuttle buses in place between Howard and Skokie Swift. Customers could also use the No. 97 bus.
