Honda to start refunding overpayments

Honda customers who inadvertently had their monthly car payment deducted twice this month should expect to see refunds appear in their bank account starting Thursday.

The automaker said the double-billing was a payment processing error.

Honda's customer-service phone lines were overwhelmed after the mistake.

Customers who couldn't get through on the phone posted on Twitter and Facebook in frustration.

In a Facebook post, Honda also said any overdraft fees would be waived or reimbursed.
