Possible large cat spotted in Highland Park

HIGHLAND PARK, Ill. (WLS) -- A mysterious critter has some Highland Park residents on edge after a family captured cellphone video of what appears to be a large cat near Beech Street.

After the video was posted on Facebook, someone who lives nearby claimed it's one of his two Savannah cats, which are extremely large domestic cats.

Highland Park police released a statement saying: "we are in touch with and working with the family that says the cat is theirs. We are not 100 percent certain."
