Fire spreads from one home to another in East Garfield Park

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Fire spread from one home to another on Chicago's West Side.

The blaze broke out around 6:15 a.m. Tuesday on the second floor of a home in the 600-block of North Christiana Avenue in the city's East Garfield Park neighborhood.

The flames spread from the back porch of one home to the back porch of the house next door. One of the buildings may have been abandoned.

Residents were evacuated. No injuries were reported.

Investigators are looking into what sparked the fire.
