PORTER, Ind. (WLS) -- A brush fire that broke out at Indiana Dunes State Park is under control Tuesday morning and not a threat to nearby homes.
As of 6:20 a.m., the flames had burned through a demolished structure and were contained to an area near near Porter Beach, east of Wabash Avenue and south of Johnson Beach Road. Although the blaze was about 600 feet from a residential area, no other buildings damaged.
No injuries were reported.
