Police warn of burglaries in West Loop

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Chicago police are warning businesses in the West Loop of a string of burglaries in the neighborhood in April.

Burglaries occurred in the 900-block of West Randolph on April 8 around 8 p.m., in the 1800-block of West Chicago on April 13 around 10:30 p.m., and in the 1000-block of West Kinzie and the 1600-block of West Chicago on April 18 around 5 a.m.

Police say in all burglaries, the suspect gains entry through a door and removed property. Police describe the suspect as an African American man wearing all black and typically carrying a dark backpack. He drives a dark four-door car.
