JOLIET, Ill. (WLS) -- A southwest suburban woman is now a millionaire after scratching off a lottery ticket in a gas station parking lot.

Karen Dale, of Joliet, scratched an Illinois Lottery 100X The Cash ticket and won $4 million.

"I can't believe I won $4 million!" she said when she was presented with her top prize-winning ticket at the Lottery Prize Center in Des Plaines.

Dale has lived in Joliet for 25 years. She said her plans for the windfall include paying bills, investing, "and I might treat myself to a new car!"

The winning ticket was purchased at Lambert's PS Fuels, 928 West Jefferson Street in Joliet. Dale was in her car in the parking lot when she scratched the ticket and discovered her win. The retailer will receive $40,000, equal to one percent of the prize amount, for selling the winning ticket.

100X The Cash is a $20 instant ticket that offers over $124 million in prizes, including eight top prizes of $4 million and 18 prizes of $100,000. Four of the $4 million and nine of the $100,000 prizes have not yet been claimed.
