Scott Elementary wins inaugural Alan D. Krashesky Literacy Prize

NAPERVILLE, Ill. (WLS) -- The Naperville Education Foundation awarded its inaugural Alan D. Krashesky Literacy Prize named after our ABC7 colleague.

Scott Elementary School won Thursday for its proposal "Building Community with Burgers, Books and Backpacks."

The grant will help organize summer picnics where kids will receive books to add to their personal libraries.
