Man shot and killed while sitting at kitchen table in Archer Heights

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Chicago police say a 58-year-old man was shot and killed while sitting at a kitchen table inside a home in the Archer Heights neighborhood Saturday night.

Police say the shooting happened just after 8 p.m. in the 5200-block of South Kolin. Shots were fired from outside, and a bullet went through the home's front door and struck the man in the face, according to police.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene but taken to Mount Sinai Hospital. Police are investigating. The victim has not yet been identified.
