John O'Hurley makes a surprise visit to Windy City Live!

Jennifer Hudson bids farewell to Broadway

Chicago's own, JHUD, played her last performance as "Shug Avery" in the hit Broadway production of "The Color Purple." (hyperlink: http://www.broadway.com/shows/the-color-purple-broadway/). It was Hudson's first role on Broadway, and while her co-stars, Cynthia Erivo and Danielle Brooks, received TONY nominations for their roles of Celie and Sophia, respectively, Hudson did not. No word on what's next for Hudson, but Broadway star Heather Headley (hyperlink: http://www.heatherheadley.com/), the original "Nala" in "The Lion King," replaces her as of May 10th.

"CHICAGO" returns to Chicago!

Speaking of hit shows on Broadway, "CHICAGO" returns to the Cadillac Palace Theatre this week through May 15th. (hyperlink: http://broadwayinchicago.com/show/chicago-2016/). The great John O'Hurley returns in the role of "Billy Flynn," that smooth-talking lawyer. He's played the role more than 1500 times. To find out why he loves playing "Chicago" in Chicago better than anyplace else, check out the video above!

Personal note: "Chicago" is one of my favorite shows. Do yourself a favor and see it (and all that jazz)!
