BGA Weekend Watch: Property tax breaks for Rivers Casino in Des Plaines

DES PLAINES (WLS) -- Our "Public Eye" looked at the machinations behind the significant property tax breaks--at least a million dollars a year-- won by Illinois' richest and most successful casino, Rivers in Des Plaines. This follows our investigation of Rivers' hiring of a contractor with alleged mob ties in his background, which resulted in a fine from the Gaming Board of more than $1 million.
