Global alcohol consumption down for first time in 20 years

For the first time in nearly 20 years, global alcohol consumption is down.

Experts say a sluggish economy may be forcing drinkers to sober up. Overall, rum and vodka were the worst performing drinks last year, but premium English gin, Irish whiskey, Japanese whiskey and dark beer have seen a surge in popularity.
