Police warn of armed robberies on West Side

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Chicago police have issued a warning about a series of armed robberies on the city's West Side.

Four incidents have happened in Garfield Park and Lawndale over the past few weeks, police said. All four robberies happened while victims were sitting inside vehicles early in the morning.

Police said two men in their 20s approached the vehicles, pulled out guns and took property from the victims.

In one incident, police said the robbers drove off in a blue Chevy Impala. In another, they took off in a black Nissan Altima.
