Suspect sought in deadly South Holland armed robbery
Authorities are searching for a suspect in a deadly armed robbery at a cell phone store in South Holland.

SOUTH HOLLAND, Ill. (WLS) -- Authorities are searching for a suspect in a deadly armed robbery at a cell phone store in South Holland.

Police said they responded to a report of an armed robbery and shots fired at the Boost Mobile store in the 1000-block of E. 162nd Street around 2 p.m. Tuesday.

Police said several people were inside the store at the time, and one of them was shot during the incident. The victim was rushed to Ingalls Hospital in Harvey, and subsequently died. Police have not released the victim's name.

Police said they took one suspect into custody after a brief chase, but a second suspect remains at large.

The South Suburban Major Crimes Task Force and the South Holland Police Department are investigating.
