Mom puts son up for hire on Craigslist to help pay for broken window

WICHITA, KS -- A Kansas mother is putting her 7-year-old son up for hire on Craigslist and she says it all to teach him a lesson.

Sabrina Cole's son accidentally broke a window while trying to get his friend's attention to come outside and play. She saw the incident as a teachable moment, KAKE reports.

Cole said, "He's seven, he should have known better, so he's gonna help. I'm trying to raise my kids old-fashioned. I was raised old-fashioned, and if I would have done something like this when I was young, I would have had to have worked to replace it."

Now, Cole says she is taking steps to make sure her son is safe and she will be with him the entire time.

He needs to raise a total of $50 to pay for the window and has already started working toward the total.
