A baby became trapped inside a burning car after a crash involving a suspected drunk driver

GRANVILLE, OH -- Shards of glass still coat the sidewalk outside Jodie Rager's house.

The night before, a dramatic scene just outside her door after a suspected drunk driver flipped her vehicle while running from police.

A baby was pulled from the wreckage of a car crash that killed her mother in south suburban Robbins Friday afternoon.

But, it was what happened to the passenger inside her car that has some in shock.

Dashboard cameras inside Trooper Sean Eitel's patrol car show the moment Brandy Wilson's baby became trapped inside that burning vehicle.

It began with a police chase. Wilson allegedly swerved all over the road, missing a stop sign. Then, a dramatic crash as the car spins upside down.

Wilson can be heard on video pleading for help for her son.

The trooper jumps into action, pulling the baby from the vehicle as it begins to catch fire.

Trooper Eitel says Wilson's breath smelled of alcohol, her speech slurred.

The good news: the baby is fine and no one else was injured in what could have been a very ugly scene.
