Ron Magers is retiring from the ABC7 anchor desk on Wednesday, May 25.

In his early 20s, he became a rising star in the San Francisco market. He hosted a half-hour show called "Electric Impressions," where he was able to fill it any way he wanted.

In San Francisco, he worked closely with sportscaster, Barry Tompkins.

"Windy City LIVE" invited Ron's former colleague, Barry Tompkins, to join our celebration via Skype.

As a way of saying thank you to Ron Magers, Barry Tompkins, asked some friends to wish him well on his next chapter.
