Camiella Williams visits Windy City Live
Chicagoan Camiella Williams has lost 25 loved ones to gun violence and is now using the experience to help others.

Chicagoan Camiella Williams has lost 25 loved ones to gun violence and is now using the experience to help others. She obtained her first gun in the 6th grade, had a gun pointed at her numerous times throughout her life, and became numb to the killings in her community. After becoming pregnant with her son, Camiella had a turning point in her life. She reached out to Father Pfleger, earned her GED and is now pursuing her Master's Degree. In addition, Camiella mentors youth in Chicago about gun violence and has a weekly radio show to discuss the issues. She also built a memorial wall outside of St. Sabina Church as a reminder of all the lives lost to violence. Camiella stopped by to tell her story.
