1 killed in Portage Park rollover crash

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Chicago police say a 17-year-old girl was killed in a rollover crash in Portage Park around 1:30 a.m. Sunday.

Police say two girls were driving northbound in the 3600-block of Major in a Toyota SUV at high speed when the driver, 18, failed to stop at a stop sign and collided with a Chevy sedan traveling westbound on Addision.

Police say the SUV rolled over several times. The passenger, 17, was pronounced at the scene. The driver was taken to Illinois Masonic Hospital in stable condition.

The driver of the Chevy, a 46-year-old man, was taken to Community First Hospital in stable condition.
