CHICAGO (WLS) -- It's a dirty job, but somebody has to do it.

Crews are cleaning up after the Memorial Day weekend crowds on Chicago's lakefront didn't clean up after themselves.

The park district sent its entire landscaping team to pick up after people on the beaches.

Litter bugs left behind cups, cans, bottles and other items that they could have easily taken with them or thrown away.

The park district says North Avenue beach had the most garbage.
