Helping homeless pets at the Hinsdale Pet Walk
Hinsdale Humane Society is holding its 27th annual Pet Walk & Run

HINSDALE, Ill. (WLS) -- Animal lovers and their pets are ready to run at the Hinsdale Humane Society's 27th annual Pet Walk & Run. The event on Sunday, June 5, 2016 brings together runners of all sizes to Katherine Legge Memorial Park. There are also Frisbee dog demonstrations, a vendor mall with giveaways, food trucks, and even a DJ! The money raised from the race supports the Hinsdale Humane Society's mission of providing a safe homes for homeless and neglected animals. Hinsdale Humane Society has been serving the western suburbs for 63 years in the same location, adopting out nearly 1,000 animals each year with the help of a dedicated staff and some 300 volunteers. ABC 7's Judy Hsu is the emcee for the Hinsdale Pet Walk & Run. She joined Eyewitness News Weekend Mornings live from the event.

Admission: $40 for runners/walkers.
