Tourism down in Illinois

Tourism in Illinois has dropped in the past year.

Some experts are blaming the state budget crisis.

Illinois used to be the top Midwest state for tourism.

Now it's in third place, behind Michigan and Ohio.

In response, the city of Springfield had research on tourism done by the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and has increased marketing efforts.
