CHICAGO (WLS) -- There's progress on all the changes and upgrades on CTA bus and rail lines serving the South Side.

The city released renderings for the new 95th Street terminal for the Red Line next year.

The design includes a distinct red color, which will serve as an identifier.

The No. 26 South Shore Express bus will begin its extended service starting Monday. Heading northbound and southbound earlier than currently schedule, the #26 South Shore Express bus will now offer riders an additional three hours of evening service.

Other lines will be adding hours of service and more buses through the summer.

95th Street is one of the CTA's busiest stations, with 24-hour Red Line service and more than 1,000 CTA and Pace bus trips on a typical weekday.
