Rev. Jackson calls for more gun control in wake of Orlando shooting
Rev. Jesse Jackson joined ABC7 Eyewitness News Saturday morning.

CHICAGO (WLS) -- The deadliest terror attack since 9-11 left 49 victims dead and the gunman. There are new calls for gun control legislation in Congress and right here in Chicago.

Rev. Jesse Jackson joined ABC7 Eyewitness News Saturday morning and talked about the violence in Orlando and Chicago.

"We have urged and appealed for a White House conference on violence to address the killing fields and to move to a remedy," he said.

Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton is set to speak at the 45th Annual Rainbow PUSH convention next weekend. Jackson said he hopes Clinton addresses what he calls an "urban crisis."

"She went out to Roseland when she was here last at the Wall of Pain where the bricks are the because of the number of kids who have been killed so hopefully we'll get some real response from her," Jackson.
