She writes: "About 2 years ago, I became friends with a woman who seemed very kind and down-to-earth. As I got to know her, I realized she was the source of most of the drama in our mutual friend group and she tended to make bad choices. I tried to support her... but her negativity has become too much for me. I've been trying to drift away, but she constantly wants to talk and go out. How can I send the message that I don't have the time or energy to listen to her drama and personal issues every single day?"
