A major outage at Southwest Airlines created massive lines at Midway Airport that bled into the next day.

The system was restored Thursday.

But Southwest officials said they are still dealing with lingering disruptions. Due to hundreds of delays and cancellations in the last two days, many travelers were separated from their luggage.

The lines seemed to improve by around 8 a.m. Friday. But more than 250 flights were canceled Friday due to displaced flight crews.
