CHICAGO (WLS) -- A violent attack followed a beach volleyball game in Chicago earlier this month as a man was walking to his car.

The victim told police he was leaving North Avenue Beach when a man threw liquid at him in the 2000-block of North Lincoln Park West.

When he asked the man why he did it, the suspect pulled out a knife and stabbed the victim five times and ran off.

Using the victim's description, police arrested the suspect.

Michael Curry is now charged with battery and use of a deadly weapon.
