Woman seriously injured in North Lawndale house fire

CHICAGO (WLS) -- A 56-year old woman is in serious condition after being burned in a house fire Saturday afternoon, according to the Chicago Fire Department.

The fire occurred happened shortly after 4:40 p.m. in the 1500-block of South Kostner in the North Lawndale neighborhood.

Fire officials said the fire started on the second floor of the 2-and-a-half story house. It is not known what sparked the fire.
