Woman shot in neck after being chased in West Ridge neighborhood

CHICAGO (WLS) -- A woman was shot in her apartment after being chased on the city's far North Side Sunday morning, according to Chicago police.

She was walking at about 4 a.m. near West Granville and North Talman avenues in the West Ridge neighborhood when three men started running after her, police said.

When she got to her apartment, one of the men pulled out a gun and fired.

Bullets went through her doorway, striking her in the neck. The woman was transported to Presence Saint Francis Hospital in serious condition.

No one has been arrested in connection with the shooting.
