Bernies Book Bank
Bernie's Book Bank provides gently used books to at-risk children in the Chicagoland area.

Just seven years ago, Chicagoan You Need To Know, Brian Floriani, founded Bernie's Book Bank in the Chicagoland area. The organization provides gently used books to at-risk children in the Chicagoland area. With the strong belief that reading is the single most important skill to learn, Bernie's Book Bank works to increase book ownership among at-risk infants, toddlers, and school-land children.

The books are processed and organized into age appropriate groups. When the books are ready, they are delivered to the homes of children without books of their own. Bernie's Book Bank has distributed 5.5 million books since 2009 and are growing rapidly to expand throughout the country.

ABC7 Chicago and the "Windy City LIVE" studio audience joined in by donating over 150 children's books to Bernie's Book Bank.
