CHICAGO (WLS) -- Chicago police issued a community alert asking for the public's help finding a stolen minivan that's carrying a valuable piece of artwork called "Rope Trick."

It's a sculpture of a coiled rope that ends in a snake's head, created by local artist Victoria Fuller.

The minivan is a blue 2005 Chrysler Town and Country with Illinois environmental license plate 83749EN, police said.

The vehicle was stolen near North Damen and West Wabansia avenues in the city's Bucktown neighborhood, sometime between July 31 and Aug. 2, police said in the alert.

Police ask anyone who has information regarding the stolen van or artwork to call Area north detectives at 312-744-8263.
