Ex-ABC7 reporter Paul Meincke completes cross-country bike ride

Former ABC7 reporter Paul Meincke and other riders completed a cross-country bike ride, and it was a fantastic finish.

The ride began on June 20 in Astoria, Ore., and finished on Monday in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, along the Atlantic Ocean.

Congratulations to Paul and all the riders!

Meincke biked across America to help fund free art programs for young people on Chicago's South Side. All proceeds benefit Sky Art, a non-profit art center.

Meincke retired in September from ABC7.
