CHICAGO (WLS) -- Two people were shot Saturday night on the Eisenhower Expressway on the West Side.
The shooting happened about 8:35 p.m. in the inbound lanes of Interstate 290 just west of the Western Avenue exit, according to Illinois State Police. The shooter was in a light gray Hyundai Sonata.
The driver, a 32-year-old man, was shot five times through both legs and a 29-year-old female passenger was grazed on the left leg, state police said. The victims were taken to Stroger Hospital. Injuries were non-life-threatening, police said.
Police are investigating.
