BUFFALO GROVE, Ill. (WLS) -- A fundraiser is being held Thursday night for the family of a bicyclist killed on Chicago's Northwest Side.

Lisa Kuivinen, of Rolling Meadows, was hit by a semi truck Tuesday morning near North Milwaukee Avenue and North Racine Avenue.

The 20-year-old was a student at the Fred Astaire Dance Studio in Buffalo Grove, where she was practicing to become a professional dancer.

The fundraiser will be held at the studio on Half Day Road at 7:15 p.m.

Former "Dancing with the Stars" champion Jonathan Roberts will be in attendance.
