Pillow Talk: Career women?

Today's question is from "Mr. Chicago," who asked that we not use his real name.

His question is: "Every time I meet a single woman, we talk, get to know each other and exchange phone numbers and/or emails to call or connect. But when I ask them out, they always say 'my career is more important than a relationship.' I heard that all the time. I think they use that as an excuse on why they don't want to go out. What do you think?"
