4-year-old falls off, fatally struck by boat

LAKE ARROWHEAD, Calif. -- A 4-year-old boy killed in a boating accident on Lake Arrowhead was identified on Monday.

Gideon Zilberstein, of Woodland Hills, was fatally overrun by a boat around 4:20 p.m. Sunday afternoon, according to the San Bernardino Sheriff's Department.

The little boy was riding in the bow section of the boat while it was pulling a skier. When the skier fell into the water, the boat operator turned the vessel around, which resulted in the child falling over the side and being struck by the boat, said Olivia Bozek of the SBSD.

Gideon suffered traumatic injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
