Pedestrian struck by Amtrak train in Northbrook

NORTHBROOK, Ill. -- Metra trains on the Milwaukee-District North Line experienced delays after a pedestrian was fatally struck near Northbrook.

Metra said Amtrak Hiawatha Train #337 struck the person near Shermer Road and Meadow Road Thursday afternoon.

Metra trains moved through the area on a single-track at restricted speeds. Normal service resumed overnight.
