MILWAUKEE --A baby girl shot while riding in a vehicle on a Milwaukee County interstate is expected to survive her injuries.
Police say a bullet went through the car door and grazed the child who was sitting in her safety seat.
The sheriff's office is investigating the shooting that happened about 5 p.m. Sunday on Interstate 43 in Glendale. The two-month-old girl was taken to Children's Hospital.
Deputies shut down northbound I-43 for about three hours while they investigated. It's not yet known what led to the shooting.
