Construction worker injured in fall in West Loop

CHICAGO (WLS) -- A construction worker was injured Monday afternoon when he fell eight feet from a ladder at a construction site in the city's West Loop neighborhood, according to the Chicago Fire Department.

The worker, who is in his 30s, fell to some scaffolding where crews carried a stretcher up a wooden ladder to bring the worker down to the ground.

The construction site is in the 600-block of West Adams Street.

The worker was taken to Northwestern Hospital with minor injuries in good condition.
