Fred Willard is one of the most well-known comedians to come out of Second City in Chicago. Willard was cast at Second City Chicago in 1965 and then went on to star in several hit films and television shows.
His new movie, "Mascots," premiers on Oct. 13 on Netflix.
Willard will be at the 3rd annual Fifth Star Awards at 7 p.m. Sept. 14 at the Jay Pritzker Pavilion in Millennium Park in Chicago.
During the event, the Chicago Department of Cultural Affairs and Special Events (DCASE) will honor four Chicago artists and arts advocates, along with the Second City, a legendary improv and sketch comedy theater.
Other 2016 honorees are blues legend Buddy Guy; celebrated photographer Victor Skrebneski; actress, educator and theater founder Jackie Taylor; and museum founder and educator Carlos Tortolero.
The event is free to the public.
