Police: Suspect sought in Oak Lawn home invasions

OAK LAWN, Ill. (WLS) -- Oak Lawn Police say they are investigating two home invasions that occurred on Tuesday afternoon.

Police say both incidents happened around 2:30 p.m. in the 4100 block of 93rd Street and the 9600 block of Kildare Avenue. The offender followed victims into their garage, showed them a black handgun and demanded valuables.

Investigators say that the offender took jewelry from both victims.

According to police, the suspect is described as black male between approximately 25 and 35 years old, wearing blue jeans and black shirt with writing on it. He fled both scenes in a large, dark red SUV.
