CHICAGO (WLS) -- Chief Judge Timothy Evans has been re-elected by his fellow circuit court judges in a meeting late Thursday afternoon.

Evans has been at the top since 2001 but has recently come under some criticism after a law clerk posed as a judge at the Markham Courthouse.

Judge Tom Allen and Judge Sandra Ramos ran against Evans, though the Chicago Tribune reported that Ramos mysteriously dropped out late Wednesday night.
