Boy, 15, shot multiple times in Washington Park

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Chicago fire officials said a 15-year-old boy was shot multiple times Friday Afternoon near Washington Park.

The shooting occurred in the 200-block of East 58th Street around 4:45 p.m.

Police said the victim was standing on the sidewalk when a silver sedan drove up, parked and two suspects got out. They approached the victim and fired multiple shots, hitting him in the back and hit, police said.

The boy was taken to Comer Children's Hospital in critical condition.

Chicago police are investigating.
