CHICAGO (WLS) -- Workers have started counting the ballots cast in the Chicago Teachers Union strike authorization vote.

Members are upset over the request in their under-negotiation contract that teachers pay more into their pension plans.

The results of the vote are expected to be announced Monday. If approved, a strike could happen as early as the first week of October.
