Hollywood writer-director looks for next big star in Chicago

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Hollywood writer and director, David E. Talbert, is looking for the next big star. His 3rd annual Actor's Workshop and Talent Search will be held Saturday in Chicago.

Talbert's newest film, "Almost Christmas," hits theatres nationwide on Friday, Nov. 11.

The registration fee for the workshop is $279 per person. Workshop sessions will include the following topics: Acting for Stage and Screen, Audition Techniques and Monologue and Scene Study.

The workshop will be held Saturday, Oct. 1, from 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. at the Chicago Marriott Downtown Magnificent Mile, located at 540 North Michigan Avenue.
