Something wonderful has landed at Goodman Theatre and it's called "WONDERFUL TOWN."

CHICAGO -- Something wonderful has landed at Goodman Theatre and it's called "Wonderful Town." This Leonard Bernstein musical is excellently remade by director Mary Zimmerman. She's taken this 1930s musical and reset it in the 1950s. "Wonderful Town" focuses on sisters Ruth and Eileen who move from Ohio to New York City's Greenwich Village. An exciting adventure awaits as Eileen falls in love again and again and Ruth looks to launch her writing career. "Wonderful Town" is an amazing show that should not be missed. The sets are incredible and Zimmerman has done a few things that have never been seen. Lauren Molena plays Eileen and Bri Sudia plays her older sister Ruth. Sudia is a star. She simply wows every scene and when she's gone you can't wait for her to comeback.

"Wonderful Town" plays at Goodman Theatre through October 23. Buy tickets here. See what others are saying about "Wonderful Town" below.

"THE LION KING"

Disney's animated classic, "The Lion King," is getting a major remake. Disney has hired director Jon Favreau who won critical acclaim for his reimagining of "The Jungle Book" to create a computer generated version of "The Lion King." Much like "The Jungle Book" where the animals were brought to life on the screen, he will do the same with the animal characters of "The Lion King." You can expect those familiar songs too. There is no release date, but Disney is fast-tracking this project so it may take a couple of years, I would imagine.

The Walt Disney Company is the parent company of ABC 7 Chicago.

"SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE" RETURNS

The season premiere of "Saturday Night Live" happens Saturday, October 1. Actress Margot Robbie is hosting, but the big news is that Alec Baldwin has been tapped to play Donald Trump this season. After this week's exciting debate, this should be pretty exciting as well. As in the past, Kate McKinnon will play Hillary Clinton. And on October 8, "Hamilton" creator Lin-Manuel Miranda will make his SNL debut when he hosts.
