4 Star Chicagoan: Shelisa Jones
Shelisa Jones is a 22-year veteran of the Chicago police force and has seen her share or violence in the city. She is also an Ordained Minister at the Cosmopolitan Community Church. Shelisa is on a mission to help those affected by violence in Chicago. Her mission is to host a prayer vigil at Soldier Field in an attempt to reach out to those of all denominations who are affected by violence. Shelisa spent $38,000 from her retirement fund in order to pay the $50,000 deposit required to hold an event at Soldier Field but she needs help in order to pay the $400,000 the stadium requires to make sure the event takes place. The police officer/minister is asking for donations through her "Go Fund Me" page in order to make this vigil happen.
