Cherryvale Mall closed in Rockford after shots fired outside

ROCKFORD, Ill. (WLS) -- Cherryvale Mall in northwest suburban Rockford is closed after shots were fired outside the mall in a parking lot, police said.

Police said no one was injured.

On their Facebook page, the mall said it is closed in light of the incident and working closely with local authorities as they investigate.
